Here I was, just working on my server. Everything working just fine. Then I held a break. I changed nothing in the meantime. Now when I join my server, the game crashes. When I try joining again, my server says: "Connection from player Hugom2 rejected: A player with the same Steam ID is already connected.", and the intro video freezes forever.

After restarting the server: it shows the same behaviour. After restarting my PC: same thing. After wiping all cache and logs: same thing. After unloading every resource: same thing.

I'm crashing during the synching phase, where the server console says: "player Hugom2 is syncing resources..". The last message in my client log says "Connected", after the line "Connecting to [server ip]".

I tried joining another server, and that worked just fine. My firewall isn't blocking it either.

Is anyone familiar with a situation like this? I have no idea how to solve it.

SOLVED (maybe this is useful to someone else in the future) - I booted up an old backup of my server, which I was able to join. This cleared the broken state. I restarted the server with the current scripts, and now it works again
