So in the Q&A it says that you can only play on Steam, why can't you play on other platforms on PC then? Aren't the versions the same?

@Tonyx97 Can give more details on this later - but essentially we are planning on only supporting the steam version because it allows ownership checks and steam ID integration. Without ownership checks, we can't verify if you actually own the game or not. Although we're now planning on doing a separate ID system away from Steam, so there might be more discussion to be had here on what can be done.

-1. By using steam only, we make sure that steam takes verification by itself so we don't have to integrate steam with it, which saves us a lot of time and struggle. -2. Using GOG too means that we need to re-reverse the entire game and update all addresses, functions and, most likely, offsets (which are very annoying). -3. By adding GOG support we would be forced, not only to implement point 2 but also integrate with steam to make sure it works outside steam (GOG).

We are not discarding adding GOG nor steam integration for now, but it's unlikely that we work on it, it all depends on the interest on the mod, the external help of Avalanche and other important factors

What about Epic support?

Only steam
